so it's official! i'm a midwesterner! and a student again...this summer i'm heading to the midwest (illinois, to be exact) to start my new life as a library grad student. maybe i'll meet some hot hot corn farmers who will romance me with farm-fresh veggies and unlimited spray tans. 

on the up side...to document everything and make myself more excited about the change, i'll be starting a blog! http://littleparkontheprairie.blogspot.com/ i really enjoy the little house reference. don't get too excite though. there's nothing on it yet :/ btw, eden, i'll be needing your technical assistance for this.

this terrified little girl running for her life is jadenne, our friend joanne's daughter. doesn't it look like the big silver bean is going to gobble her up? she's not really terrified or running for her life though. joanne, jadenne, and i all went to visit gen in chicago. we were missing someone though...(oh eden, sigh)

actually it should be BLACK VELVET since that's the name of this nail polish. here's my souvenir from my vacation. LOL it's Chanel's new matte black nail polish. really loving it. as i was searching the internets earlier couldn't help but notice how the nail polish almost matched the keys of my MacBook. so had to take some pics and post em. so here i be.

 here i am on my fam's vacay on the hawaiian islands. twas mucho fun. seriously love this dress. great for warm weather and traveling because it's light and wrinkly material. so you don't have to worry about ironing. had to point out my nail polish because it's a pretty pink color and it's called "Panda-monium Pink." what's not to love?!

so i went to canadia a couple weekends ago. had tons of fun hanging with one of my closest high school friends. it was nice adding a new stamp to my new passport and just getting away from the city.

i really heart my new york off the shoulder tee. many people have asked where i got it and i say check out karmaloop.com. you can find some gems on sale at that spot. plus, i love that the brand is called public library bc i'm a sucker for library related stuff.

wooo boat shoes!

i had been wanting sperry topsider boat shoes for months. but wanted to wait to buy them when i returned state-side.

jina helped me find them upon my second day back in america at crewcuts, americana (glendale, ca).

i absolutely love them.  although, they're not in the finish i had originally planned on buying, i'm liking this worn leather look. it's a bit softer and goes with my super femme spring wardrobe.

the only thing is, now boat shoes are everywhere. including the cover of the latest delia's catalog. ugh!
