once again

nordstrom earrings
these earrings are great for dressing up an outfit or if you just want to throw on dangling earrings other than hoops. love that they look like little fans. nordstrom definitely has some great jewelry for sale in their bp section. usually can find some awesome deals. if memory serves me right, i believe i got these for less than 5 bucks.

no name bracelet
i got this at one of the wholesale jewelry stores here in nyc around herald square. it reminds me of a leopard print. actually looks more like pieces of gold leaf were pressed onto it. definitely a great chunky bracelet to wear alone or with a bunch of other bracelets.

urban outfitters double finger bow ring
nice plain silver ring. i'd been looking for a double finger ring for awhile, so after hunting for one that wasn't ridiculously expensive i was so happy to stumble upon this ring while waiting around at urban outfitters. wearing rings has been on pause for the last couple of weeks due to the heat wave here. it's just not the best weather for rings. your hands get hot and sometimes a little sweaty. fingers get fat as the day progresses, so rings get tight on them. not fun. well, this happens to me don't know about everyone else. don't judge. ;P

jade rose

this is Chanel's Jade Rose nail polish. it actually came out last fall, but it came out again this summer because it was overshadowed by the popularity of Jade. i really like this shade of pink. it's very subtle and goes with every outfit.

close-up

since i don't really have any close-up photos of my jewelry. decided to post some them.

marc by marc jacobs apple studs
one of my fave pair earrings. ever since ive gotten them, they have been my go to earrings.

hello kitty charm bracelet
this is a birthday gift i received from one of my most favorite people, justine! i totally love this bracelet. one of the best gifts i've ever received. how can you not love anything hello kitty?! plus, it has an apple charm. if you haven't noticed, i'm a sucker for apple stuff. little bonus is that it has another little apple at the end of the chain with NEW YORK engraved into it. so appropriate.

Chanel heart logo hoops
a couple summers ago Chanel had this ad with a model wearing regular logo hoops. i was determined to buy them. alas they were sold out everywhere. gen had told me she spotted smaller hoop earrings on sale at the Chanel boutique at south coast plaza back home. so i went to the soho boutique here. they had the smaller hoop earrings, but i spotted these hoops and had to have em. so i scooped them up and here they are making me feel a little like Coco.

i'll take more photos of other pieces another time.

like the fresh prince of bel air

(in front of independence hall)

(express cardigan, obey tee, uniqlo shorts, chucks, black coach crossbody bag at city tavern, spot where our forefathers drank)

did a day trip to philly with the sisbro. hit up the major tourist spots as you can see. really enjoyed drinking at city tavern. it's a 18th century themed tavern - the decor, music, food, staff attire. we only drank here. we ate at market street station for lunch and ice cream (well i did). had starbucks happy hour - 1/2 off frapps. then beers at city tavern. i recommend the george washington tavern porter, a dark beer. after we ate philly cheesesteaks at jim's steaks. delish. it was a great day to the city of brotherly love.

oh sookie

(UO boyfriend tee, f21 skirt, tokidoki earrings, mango cross-body bag)

my sister and brother came to visit NYC for my sister's master's graduation from NYU. the first day they arrived was may 4th, which happened to be the same day that charlaine harris' new southern vampire book came out. after work i met up with my sister and brother in the city. my bro wanted to buy a book to read while he was here for 2 weeks, so we went to the barnes and noble in union square after eating at ramen at menkui tei. as we walked in we saw a bunch of signs advertising charlaine harris doing a reading and signing upstairs. me and my sister freaked out and quickly went upstairs to see if it was still going on because it was almost 9 and it had started at 7. it was! so we quickly got copies of the new book and waited to get our books signed. charlaine harris was super nice. here you can see me telling her about how me and my girls started a fb group to talk about her books. LOL seriously was nervous talking to her and just telling her about how much i loved the books and such. major highlight of 2010.

maui'd!

memorial day weekend, my best friend lina married her long-time boyfriend, jim, in maui! they got maui'd! haha. i'm going to use that phrase as much as possible because it's rarely appropriate in real-life.

maui'd!!!

the happy couple!

the sugarman estate, makena, maui, hi

the other happy couple (har har)

i'm a bridesmaid, snitches!

yummy cake!

the wedding was beautiful! maui was amazing. and i survived my speech!
i'd post more pictures of the rest of our time there, but they are wildly unattractive. case in point...

snorkeling!

plus, i mainly took pictures of food anyways. enjoy!

panic mode

my friend lina is getting married this month!! in maui! and i'm in panic mode. i'm trying to exercise and eat healthier in a last ditch effort to get a rockin' beach bod. alas, it's not going so well. and worst of all...i have to write a speech. and even worse than that...i have to give that speech. in front of people.

anyhoo, look at the ring pillow i made for this wedding (bridal shower gift, muahah)! i made this a while back, but always forgot to post.
